I remember when I was very young going to this restaurant called Hudson's in Simi Valley with all the grandparents (Eloise's and mine) with our families after Eloise and I performed a ballet routine at a recital in the park (maroon leotard and pink fluffy tutu). I remember so vividly sitting at the table while my grandmother spoke with Earl about her time at UCLA while he was vice chairman. Even as a young child, these two people reminiscing about their past and finally crossing paths again made an impression on me. It was also just a wonderful day in general being supported by all of our folks and receiving beautiful bouquets of flowers from our grandparents!
